It was amazing to see so many people excited and involved. Particularly when it wasn't a quick or easy thing to do.

Also, despite the headlines of "Clinton wins Texas" the truth is that Obama won more Texas delegates than Clinton. She won the primary vote by around 3%, but lost in the caucuses by around 10%. Even with the 2-to-1 ratio that means she is getting 4 or 5 fewer delegates from Texas than Obama.

Oh, yeah!

I keep at least a half-dozen novels on my Palm at all times for just such emergencies.

Okay, can you explain the difference between the primary and the caucuses? I'm not getting it.

ok... In Texas, we vote for 2/3 of the delegates. Then we hold a caucus that night, and decide on the last third. Makes great sense, Right? NOT!!!!

Uh... is there a reason for that? Is it so that the people who REALLY care enough to go out and do the caucus thing get an extra say?

Good for you. Vote, doggone it, even when it's hard.

I, um, had it much easier. :D

I was watching, waiting eagerly to hear the Texas returns, but eventually had to, you know, go to bed.

I do understand the difference between a caucus and a primary, but why both in one state, one after the other?

It makes no sense to anyone I've talked to either. But then, this is Texas...
