LOL, jk, but seriously, I have said this soooooooooo many times but, YOU. ARE. AMAZING.
AMAZING.
(Also, I think I'm just going to end up calling you Harry from now on? That's fine?)
This was really one of my favorite scenes from the fic, so it's SO AWESOME to see you illustrate it. And let me just start saying that I LOVE the format. Ok, maybe it's the nerd in me coming out, but I'm just seeing some art history references of those Triptychs they keep painting for churches back in the day. So personally, I really appreciate the connection (even if it wasn't intentional?) Now, what I find so amazing about how you choose to illustrate this is that you feel the weight of that time there. The moment where they see each other, and it's just like.....TIME FREEZES. It was what I got while reading that bit(s) in the fic too, I bet I held my breath when I was reading that part for the first time. xDD ( ... )

you can call me whatever you like.XD How shld i call you then? :) is Zenyr ok?
my very fav scene too btw. i've doodle it instantly after reading. So yes, i've planned to draw it this way from the beginning.
I truly appreciate your note about chancel paintings ref, it's an enormous compliment. Those things, esp the old ones are beautifully and adeptly done treasures indeed. And at my doodle Sherlock looked for me a lot like John the Baptist, and i liked this similarity, kinda Sherlock's desperate heartbreak was for him like the long years spent in the desert.. So i've made him this thin and stooped (not in Sherlock's character really) but who knows how he wld look like in this situation..
honestly very happy by your time freeze remark!=D
Thanks so much, your comments are so encouraging! always! XD <3 <3 <3

And yeah! Zenyr is fine. XDD
Hohoh, so you've been doodling while you read! Maybe I ought to take a page from your book then. But yes, there's been a few scenes from some fics I've read that I REALLY want to illustrate. I have a feeling it will take me maybe 3 months to get there...depending on how things go, but gaaawwww, so much art ideas...so little time. ;w;
Anyhow, sorry about rambling onto un-related things, I...tend to do that sometimes. =m=;; But yes, church triptychs. I SEE THEM. And although I don't know the story about John the Baptist THAT well, that's a wonderful connection you've put into this. I mean...yea! Sherlock's been suffering!
Oh, btw, gahh, I do actually have a DA account (technically 2, but uh, it's a long story). I'm wondering if I should contact you there because that seems to be easier? mmmmmm. o__o

I love the fact that you reference John the Baptist here. Funny, too, that the saint john image isn't John Watson but Sherlock! And there's another religious touch to this work -- essentially, you have created a Sherlock/John triptych!
What is your artistic training, if I may ask?
