Play more fucking music. I only listen to KDVS to hear things I haven't heard before and who it's by, when they are playing and where next. I don't care about the history of the bassist's retarded uncle twice removed. There's a lot of BS on KDVS, but seriously, don't sound like you are dying on the air and taking fifteen minutes to do it to win a ( Read more... )

Seriously, talking, talking, talking, not saying anything of any importance. Strong bad made fun of it once, where it was strong sad's radio and the guy was just talking quietly and slowly in a monotone without any confidence about nothing of any importance.

You jerk!
I suggest only listening to a few select DJs of your favorite genre and telling them what you want. how many KDVS DJs do you expect to read this anyway?

#1, this is just my journal, it's more of a rant than a public message.
#2, it's about the delivery and the style the shows are done in and not the music itself.

hey I wasn't telling you not to put this in your journal, I'm saying you should bring it up to the DJs -- all of them have different styles, including the way they do airbreaks and everything. The unprofessionalism is a price to pay for being a freeform community station. We can't do a lot about the programming -- it's really up to the DJs.

There was a high school or JC station out of Concord a few years back we could barely get in Vacaville and I'd listen to it when I was in Fairfield but it was "free form" and was more professional. They said what needed to be said and played some shit that was so heavy I thought it was going to weigh my car down at times. all in all it was done without the endless yapping and got a following from my fairfield crew.

I think it was 90.5 or something, this was like 5-6 years ago and youd hear dream theatre, type O negative, opeth, cradle of filth and stuff.
