The way I see it, I have a different friend for different things. One of my buddies is the good natured gambler, one of my friends is a hipster, one is a total alcoholoic and marijuana addict, that's me right there, but I have others. Everyone seems to fill a spot, the libertarian, the whiner, etc. I have no idea where I fit, I guess that's ok. I'

I have a similar system. A friend for each occasion and a couple for all occasions. It get rather annoying at times when I can't get ahold of the friend I want for the occasion much like not being able to find a tool for the task at hand.

Duder, I prefer not to think of friends a tools, I don't believe they are so I shouldn't treat them as such.

I dont literally mean tool. I mean just sometimes I want to habg out with a certain kind of friend and the others just are too (insert personality trait) for the moment.
