V10: Island
So the previous post is getting a bit big and bulky for us all to keep following, so we're splitting it all up. For everything about the island and (to a degree) the programme, this is where we go. \o/ The following are some of the points brought up in the last post, which we should like, totally discuss here, you guys.
From the last post:
1, To start with, the poll seems overwhelmingly in favour of Semi coverage - at the very basics, this is a daily highlight reel and regular updates on TV - for example, the reports make breaking news. We'd like to make this all specific so everyone knows what we're playing with. So who has ideas?
2, And just as a PSA - the arena and weapons are entirely in the mods' domain, like it is every version. Nothing about those are being revealed until the V10 opening post. This post isn't to discuss the weapons or the arena.
3, The island is called Nishima Island, and the town is Majima. The school is Majima Gakuin, and will consist of an elementary, junior high and high school. Of course, we'll still be calling it Neko Island everywhere else.
3b, Also, I brought up in the last post the island being ten square miles/three miles across and having a population of about 750. If everyone's okay with that size, we'll go on with that.
4, Its geographical location - Kagoshima Prefecture on the south west coast of Kyushu Island. So, Neko Island Nishimajima would be on the north end of the Ryukyuu islands, thirty or forty miles from the mainland. These are country bumpkins, folks.
So now that that's all out of the way - the island itself. What buildings do we want, what kind of shops, how many shops, what sizes of shops.
