Time Between Reports

Okay, so as you may have seen discussed in the previous post, the report and NPC sweep along with it has been postponed for the past month, partially to give us time to discuss the idea properly, partly to give everyone time to catch up and avoid said NPC sweep. If you didn't see the discussion, there's the reason we haven't put the reports up. o

Yeah, um... I think I'm done. I have half a post written down in a notebook and the thought of typing it up just fills me with total "bleh," and I'm taking that as a sign to just cut my losses and say goodbye. I feel like no one really gives a shit anymore, and the next month is going to be pretty stressful for me because of work and school, so I doubt I'm gonna be inspired to write anything.

How would you feel about a hiatus? Rianne just brought it up and I really would like to finish the version, but yeah. Right now it's clearly a no go.

I'd consider it, yeah. I do hate to just give up on V10, but my motivation factor is zero right now. I can't promise that after new year's I'll be all raring to go or anything, but I'll have a lot more free time after December's over, that's for sure.

How about a hiatus? I mean, would you be any more likely to want to play after a break, or...?

Maybe! I could definitely use a break, maybe until new year? If other people want to try it too, sure, because just cancelling the version would suck. It's definitely worth a shot, I think, and then we can see how we all feel about it after. :)

I've actually got a post that I tap a bit out on every once in awhile but it's not moving fast and it's completely flashbacks. I really really would love to see V10 actually end before the com goes bust but the problem is that most of the hardcore posters...well...nicest way of putting it is people are growing up and getting lives and the com is pretty much bottom scale priority.

Self included...if it's a choice between writing a post or spending a day with the boy...my choice is never going to be the com.

The hiatus is worth a shot. I don't think anyone wants it to end like this so it might work but at the same time, we've pretty much been on one since the last mod post went up anyways and it doesn't seem to have done anything.

Well, the reason the comm has lasted as long as it has is because people are capable of multiple hobbies and before now have generally managed okay. We've all had (boy/girl)friends and important commitments right throughout the comm's existence.

The comm's been around for five years and the fact is, we've kinda done most of what there is to be done, and it's just coming to a natural close. Which is why I'm not sure a hiatus is going to work, but I just want the version to come to its conclusion, which is why I'm willing to make a go of it if other people are.

The thing is...I know some members have in the past but the "real life" thing seems to come and gone for a bunch of people...just a cycle thing.

Now with so many people in college and working full time and everything else...I don't see the cycle ending.
