Hey Mr Brac,

The researcher within says, depending on how interested you are, you could try contacting the NZ Archives to determine whether they hold aircraft safety investigation files. These might give you more info about the crash, and such files are available in Australia (limited by the Archives act to public access after 30 years, as with all records though).

Incidentally.. my aunt and uncle had a farm in Palmerston Nth in NZ at that time.. weird.

Oh yeah, they covered this one in our ground scholl training for my airline... seeing as there's so many ex-ANers in the training team...

Try PPRuNe, you never know what someone might remember or be able to point you in the direction of...
