Hrmm... I guess I was kinda thinking it would fall into Drama or Thriller, but you're right... *ponders* I'll add something up here to get people to vote in the comments for it.

Its not too late to just start over, there havent been that many votes. And if you do, you could add a /fantasy to the end of sci-fi. You know, to clairify.

I think I'll leave it like it is, but thanks!

I didn't put fantasy since that could go with sci-fi or could have a cross-genre appeal toward drama or comedy. If we get too broad we could eliminate some good competitions, and if we get too narrow in focus, we could eliminate an entire wing of options. Either way, I think it should be a good competition.

It'd be nice to see an eclectic mix for the film categories. I feel it'd be pretty bland if we had just the generic groups. I'd love to see Cult Classics go up against a Comedy division or something along those lines.

Could you imagine? Monty Python and the Holy Grail up against Meet the Parents... I couldn't decide!!!

The "Before My Time" category sounds a bit sketchy, as voters' birthyears propably span entire generations. Some of the other categories look pretty interesting, though!

Yeah the idea behind the category is to shape the nominations by offering a category in which users have to choose something older than themselves, even if that means movies that were made 30, 40, or even 50 years ago. (Very few users will be over 50, but it is possible.) After the nominations are shaped, then the voting will just be open to the favorites from among them and not restricted.

I don't like the category as much as the others, but I liked the concept enough to put it to vote and see what others thought.
