10 down, 4 to go.

In 4 days.

Possible...but not likely. Still productive, nonetheless.

Yay. I meant to ask you about this last night (last time I'd checked, you'd had nine posted). Nice to see that you may not have the full "competitition" amount of songs, but still enough for an album. And most are not of the suck! (admittedly, there is one of them up there I'd throw back... but, hey, this isn't about quality, right?)

It's funny, you post this....and all I'm focused on is the one song you say you'd throw back....

Well, I never really thought Urkel should have been let loose on popular television, I feel even more strongly about his presence in pop music!

I really like It's No Big Deal!

I know what you mean about the time situation. When put under pressure with a deadline, I've noticed that the vast majority of my writing has taken place in my head, while I'm doing other things (mostly driving). If I didn't drive as much, I'd be on song 2....

What are your plans for these when the "project" is complete? I see possibly 3 VERY good TKT songs if you are up for putting them through the usual ringer (ala Not Your Biggest Fan, Lost in the Mail, and Paperboy).

I think your ability to not rewrite and second guess yourself too soon has been a big plus. One of the biggest mistakes writers tend to make is to start the re-write process too soon (myself CERTAINLY included). One can get hung up on one little thing and lose the song. By writing this way, you actually finish an idea, and that gives you a complete set of lyrics that can then be tweaked, instead of attempting to create gold from one decent line.

Bravo to the Bractune.

Bravotune.

Thanks for the analysis.

Just out of curiousity, what 3?

Does it matter? I really mean that...as in do you have plans for some, but not all of them? I don't remember and I'm too tired to go back right now and look. I figured if you are open to it, then you could play them all for me on March 1st and see what y'all-ya'll got.

I guess it doesn't matter...but being an emotionally fucked-up kinda songwriter, I DO grow more attached to certain things, for various reasons.

Long story short- it's just curiosity.
