Here is my amazing list of everything I learned in the previous year.
- Just because I can write 10 songs in February, doesn't mean that any of them are usable for anything real. (although one or 2 might end up on my MySpace page...who knows). But that wasnt really my intent. It was still a really cool experience.
-Many months this year went into creation of the greatest CD that I've ever been involved with, TKT or otherwise. I'm highly anticipating it's release in 2007.
-"Fssshh" will never be a funny punchline to a joke.
-My girlfriend still rules.
-Playing a gig live on Channel 3 News is badass!
-Playing a gig on the side of a mountain during a blizzard isn't!
-Seattle is a cool place, as I made my first trip up there in May to meet Terri's sister and niece...who were also very cool. Good times.
-"Fssshh"....hmmm...nope...still not funny.
-October, during the week, when it isn't raining, is a sweet time to enjoy Disneyland...even without the Matterhorn operational. "Tower of Terror" is possibly the greatest ride in either park. (I know others disagree...but this is all about my opinion...so who cares).
-Kimberly Trip songs connect with an audience. Frequencies songs do not. Sure, they're fun to play once every 20 years, .....but ONLY for the people on stage.
-Being nominated for a Sammie 2 years in a row incorrectly builds an strong belief that you will get nominated a third year. Whoops!
-"Rockstar:Supernova" can get several months of advertising on network TV, pick a total buttmunch for a singer...and debut at an embarrassing #101 on the Billboard charts. woohoo.
That is the entirety of everything I learned in 2006.
