Sun bundles Yahoo's toolbar with Java. Without commenting on the levels of awesomeness in that, I will comment on their installer text. From their own website,
It must be really hard to do good QA work when there's a Bollywood movie distracting you on TV in the background.
"Install a free program with the Java." Say it with a thick Indian accent. You can totally hear some guy saying it and thinking it sounds just right to him.
Isn't AOL going to go after Sun and/or Yahoo for infringing their "you've got mail" mark?
They have both set up to be offered and one is chosen depending on which has already been offered to you. I discovered this while reading through the installer log one day.
There's a ridiculous bidding war that takes place between Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft for bundling toolbar software with any piece of software that wishes to whore its users out to such things.
Same applies to PCs, default search on browsers, and search bars for major web sites.
You didn't even mention how it tells you what will happen when you click the "I Agree" button below, despite the fact that there is no "I Agree" button.
