this is a test. assuming everything goes correctly, i can just enter text in this program on my desktop machine, update the database on my server, and my website will show my event log

this was the first post from the client/database system that is now livejournal ... the posts that came before in time with larger ID numbers are ones that I imported from previous online journals I had in different formats...

We'd better... I spent ages messing about with calendars and stuff looking for this thing, until I realised "Hey, why don't I just put in the number 1, and see what happens"... :o)
