WELCOME to the Bradam Big Bang community! If you're not quite sure what's going on here, have the ten-second version: a Big Bang is a timed project that matches artists with authors to create long, illustrated fanfics, and this particular one is for the Adam Lambert/Brad Bell pairing.
Want to join in the madness? (You know you do!) First,
1) To participate, you must have some way to identify yourself on LJ. This can be a LiveJournal account (real/personal, fanfic-only, or sockpuppet), OpenID (such as for all you lovely Dreamwidth people *waves*), Twitter, or--if you really want to--Facebook, but you must be able to comment here non-anonly. It just saves us time and flail if we have to contact you.
2) Being a BRADAM Big Bang, your story must feature Bradam as its main couple. There's no rule against incidental other ships, mentions of Adam and/or Brad dating someone else at some other point, or threesomes that involve Bradam (e.g. Adam/Brad/Tommy), but Bradam (or a three-way pairing involving it) must be the main pairing.
3) Your story must be at least 5000 words long. If it's longer, well, to quote Wilson Jermaine Heredia--"You get a gold star, munchkin!" The only maximum length is what you feel you (and your beta) can personally handle.
4) AUTHORS: YOU MUST HAVE A BETA. Yes, even you, authors who are proficient enough at spelling and grammar to beta your own fics. Choosing a beta is your own responsibility, but we'll (hopefully) have a list of betas who have specifically volunteered for the Big Bang available to you by the end of signups (and, of course, you're free to use a beta from outside the Big Bang or even the fandom, if you know someone you'd like to work with).
5) There are no rules on plot content. 5000 words of porn? Have at it. A multichapter epic that ends with the story's first kiss? Equally cool. Massively Multiplayer Online Crossover? AWESOME. Crackfic about Adam and Brad as a pair of struggling figure-skaters who turn to alien hormone injections to get into the Olympics? Have fun with that, we'll see you at the finish line.
6) All stories will be matched up with an artist, who will illustrate the work. Authors and artists: we will have a post when the time comes to match you up, but getting a line of communication open is your responsibility.
7) Still interested? SIGN UP HERE! If you want to be an author, use the subject line "author signup"; an artist, "artist signup"; a beta, "beta signup." If you want to do double-duty, something like "author/artist signup" works just fine. If you want to save us work and you signed up on team_bradam feel free to remind me you've signed up here, but otherwise we'll just import the team_bradam list when signups end.
