THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPYYYY <3 <3 <3 The lyric matches are so clever (you know how I feel about lyrical interpretation -- I LIVE for it) and the pacing works so well. Thank you again!!

Yay! I was so worried you wouldn't like it. You deserved something you really loved, so your reaction really meant the world to me. <3

Oh, this is splendid! I love how shit gets real at the key change -- that was a great decision.

Jonathan's story is a tragedy and it's easy to forget that, but this made me ache for him.

Whee, thanks! I was fretting over how to handle the final third because it's such a big tonal shift, and yet the song stays very much fun and bouncy. Really happy to see your reaction.

Jonathan made a lot of mistakes, but so did the Scoobies. I think the most painful part in the rewatch was when Andrew leads him to the basement by promising that what they're doing will let them be part of Buffy's "gang." Jonathan thinks about it and comes back with the most hopeful sounding "Do you really think she'd let us join her gang?" Broke my heart.

Aww! I'd forgotten that! ):

Just showed the vid to P. and it affected him, too. He said, "Jonathan deserves a better ending than he got."

Glad P. liked it! Yes, I agree he needed a better ending.

I did a tumblr search for Jonathan and almost everything on there was a scene in which Spike or Andrew was the focal point and Jonathan was *also* in the scene. Kind of appropriate in a way, I guess.

Loved this! Hilarious and tragic in equal measures, which I guess is what was great about the whole show, and you've captured that superbly. Poor Jonathan.

So glad you liked it! :) Yeah, Jonathan's story was so bittersweet, such an odd mix of fun, awkward clumsiness and true tragedy. I'd like to remember him as one of the good guys, though.

Yes, a little misguided perhaps, but not evil :o)
