Other than trying to help her relax **EVERYTHING** during a contraction (meaning no hand squeezing, etc), the biggest thing that my instructor emphasized to the coaches was watch for deep breathing over shallow, and encourage drinking between each contraction - prevents dehydration and makes you have to get up and pee (move around). Encourage eating if she's hungry, sleeping if she's tired, and lots of moving and changing positions.
