At my appointment on Friday my blood pressure was borderline so they had me do a 24 hour urine test which showed I have some protein in my urine which could mean I may get preeclampsia which would mean I would not be able to give birth at the birth center that I want to and would have to have a hospital birth. (Yay for run-on

make sure you are getting 80-100 grams of protein a day do relaxation and moderate exercise (walking, swimming, etc.) make sure you have adequate salt and next time your BP is checked have them do it at the end of the appointment when your heart has had a chance to settle back into a resting rythem.

that's a good point about having them check the BP after the visit. They always do it first thing when you come in right after you've had to fight for a space in the parking lot....
