Hey, caught your journal through a friends page, and jesus you couldnt be more right. Some of my friends and I joke around about the lack of fashion that will result after the election, regardless of who wins. Everyone is completely entitled to their opinion, even those too young to vote, but I HATE when I ask someone ok, so why are you voting for whomever, and the answer is half assed and uneducated. I'm personally voting for Bush, and I have my reasons and I have researched it all. Do I attack the many friends I know voting for Kerry? No. I don't think it's fair to the country that this man may win by default, that he may be made president because of who he isnt and not who he is, but I suppose all will be settled on Tuesday.
You know I go to shows, and I think you know where I stand on the issues. I have not had any exposure recently to anyone, other than my parents, who are casting votes for Bush. I have been to numerous shows where bands run their mouths about getting Bush out of office, about not liking the choices (which is really where I stand). Recently I went to 2 Rock Against Bush shows. The first being in Lancaster, PA. PA is a "battleground" state. The shows draw was all for the headliner, Anti Flag, meaning a majority of the people in attendance were under 18. I went to see Strike Anywhere, whose politics I strongly agree with, it is why they are 1 of my favorite bands. Secondly I went to the Rock Against Bush CMJ showcase in NYC with the Bouncing Souls headlining. The story at this show was much different, hardly anyone mentioned the election and the crowd was for the most part over 18. I will not and have not ever worn an anti-Bush shirt. I don't like that kids under voting age wear them because it is "punk rock" or because it was
