I decided this afternoon to wash some laundry - rather easy to do - simple task for being on vacation this week. I turn the dial and pull it. I pour the soap in.. and there's water running on the floor. I push the dial back in

For what it's worth, we always end up just getting the cheap model - our current dryer is 5 years old and cost maybe $200 or so. My mom always goes for the one that costs less than the repairs would. ;) Also, I do think you're right that there should be a sale soon. Figure that people do repairs and upkeep during nice weather - plus those life-saving $600 checks are coming :P

Got on excellent deal from Maytag and Home Depot on a pair we got. Tons of rebates. They'll be delivered this weekend!

Speaking of life saving checks - I haven't received it or my refund. Everyone I've talked to got it.
