Ten years ago we would have poured through maps and charts to plan this trip, flipping pages and unrolling old canvas scattered on shelves around us. Now we chat over a computer while all looking at different websites with information on weather, terrain, road conditions, scenic stops, and even bathroom conditions and a Starbucks locater

I'll be roadtripping soon enough too. But it'll be in a U-Haul, moving my way from the East and West Coasts into the heart of cornfields...

Okay same ol' Brad :) Having been through part of Canada's gut (Alberta) I can tell you that you may want to plan for a tad longer and not many Starbucks. Okay maybe bucks ... but no Starbucks. Not sure when you are leaving but the remember that the Canucks celebrate "Canada Day" (weekend) the weekend before our Memorial Day weekend and the highways are packed - been there done that! Six years ago I spent two weeks in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
