Well, well, well, Johnny grew a backbone.  Watching (still) the Rice Confirmation hearings, I got to see the junior senator from Massachusetts, a Mr. John Kerry, declare that he would not be voting for Dr. Rice for Secretary of State.  Because of her role as "architect" of a failed policy ( Read more... )

Sen. Boxer was one of a few (23) who voted against the war originally when it was voted on. She went on several times about Condi's role in the whole affair and continued up until the committee voted in the "business meeting" part of the hearing.

She's the opinionated Jewish mother/grandmother I've never had. I promise, if she were mine, I would both write *and* call. If only America loved ultra-liberal Jewish feminists from California as much I do, she could be president.

BTW, nice that you even knew Babs was involved! Have I met another (Who am I kidding? ONLY!) CSPAN buddy?

Heheh... Unfortunately I don't have the time to sit and watch CSPAN... i was obsessed with it during the election. But I must admit, I am a bit burned out on politics after that...

I do watch the daily show though... a good source of liberalism :D

Well, CSPAN is always available online for the nerd on the go!

I just like to watch CSPAN when the talking heads start to just talk over the actual proceedings and hear it all from a "primary source" with so much filtering. (Though John Stewart is a mighty fine filter if one must be used.)

I didn't catch the Daily Show until the 7pm showing tonight, but their coverage of "Babs" was obviously delightful.
