Gingerbread Cookies Anyone?

Does anyone make gingerbread cookies for the holidays?  I've never made them and after doing the gingerbread house with Connor and trying to explain to him that we don't eat it, it's just for decoration (torture for a 3 year old!), I told him we could make some gingerbread people to eat and decorate

You could take the lazy way out and buy the refrigerated roll. ;)

oh.. i didn't realize they had one for gingerbread! I will totally do that.. that's my sure fire sugar cookie "recipe" too. :)

We read the Gingerbread baby this summer and made one using a gingerbread cake mix. I took it out of the oven and hid it and Cam had to follow clues to find it. Great fun!

Yeah, buy the mix or refrigerated roll. I made it once and it was a total pain in the ass!!

Yes, the Duncan Hines cookie mix works just fine.
