Spoilers: It was drawing ever closer to the one night of the year where all ghouls, spirits and other such creatures are said to walk the earth in flesh and blood or appear to the mortals which they once knew when alive. It is this night of the year where all oddities, no matter how large and spectacular or small and insignificant, take place. For those who believe in this superstition it is called Halloween, for souls such as Tim Drake all it means is more work to keep the city of Gotham as safe as it can be from other humans, who only proclaim to be such mythical beings. But tonight, tonight Gotham will present something new for our Timothy Drake.

Summary: It's October 1884, and in Wayne Manor, a spirit has begun to appear to the household. A spirit that causes particular upset for one small boy who lost his parents a bare two years before, a boy caught between a mind full of the scientific advancements of the age, and a heart that simply yearns for all that he has lost.
A/N: This is set in 1884 purely so I could use gaslight. Everything happened as in canon, except moved back to the 19thC. And gets screwy from there, naturally. Also, this is my first time attempting a ghost story.
