HERSEY KISS
“Behold the Chocolatier!”
Robin blinked as the shapely woman dressed in the form-fitting brown catsuit danced across the rooftop. Dark, chocolate-brown hair bounced out from under her cowl. Her skin was the same rich color, brown eyes sparkling through her mask.
“And your power is the goodness of milk chocolate?”
“No, darlin'.” The Chocolatier swung over and planted her lips on Robin’s. “More like a Hersey Kiss.” She pulled back. “Followed by a Nestle’s Crunch!”
Her fist sent Robin staggering, and she laughed as she dashed off, picking up the bag holding the day’s take from Royal Chocolates, one of Gotham’s finest chocolatiers.
“Robin!”
Batman swooped down, kneeling by his partner’s feet.
“What happened?”
“Did you…see that woman?” he asked dazedly.
“Yes. For a second I thought she looked like Selina from a distance, but of course she’s not. Who is she?”
Robin sat up with a groan, Batman putting his arm around his shoulders.
“The Chocolatier.”
“The what?!”
Robin groaned again.

“Gotham doesn’t have enough wackos?”
Dick grinned at Barbara’s remark, the bats fluttering up in the highest reaches of the Cave.
“She sure clocked you good.” A gloved hand gripped Dick’s chin.
He winced. “I know.”
“So now that we have a chocolate-obsessed villain, maybe her M.O.’s like Catwoman’s…”
“You want to stake out all the chocolate shops in Gotham?” Dick laughed despite his sore jaw.
“Not a bad idea, Boy Wonder.”
“Actually, a very good one.” Bruce swiveled in his chair at the computer console. “Chances are good she’ll strike again at one of Gotham’s high-end chocolate shops.”
“Oh, good!” Barbara’s eyes sparkled. “My kind of stake-out!”
Bruce rolled his eyes while Dick laughed again, wincing but happy.
“You’re going to have a tough time with that sore jaw, Sunshine Boy,” Barbara teased.
“Hazard of a naturally sunny personality,” Dick said, trying not to grin.
He saw Bruce’s little smile and knew any pain was worth it.
“So, here’s a list of the specialty shops.” Bruce touched a key and a list appeared on-screen. “Most are high-end, but I included shops not quite as expensive.”
Barbara and Dick studied the list. Barbara said, “You’ve left off the Sweets For The Sweet Exhibit.” At Bruce’s raised eyebrow she said, “The Chocolatiers of North America and Europe are sponsoring a special exhibit at the Gotham Convention Center with all kinds of chocolate-y goodness.”
Bruce nodded. “But it’s not until next week.”
“True, but how can our newest villainess resist?”
“She won’t,” Dick said. “In the meantime, there are all the shops to choose from.”
“Time to do a little canvassing,” Bruce said.
“Chocolate shops, here we come!” Barbara said eagerly.
