Bruce woke slowly, moving slightly under the silk sheets. The warmth of the sun kissed his skin.
Eyes fluttering open, he saw an empty space next to him. Disappointed, he sighed, regretful that Clark had to leave, but Superman was often needed. Clark hadn’t slept so much at night for years, but now was practically a sleeping baby and spent most nights here at the Manor.
My baby, Bruce thought with a smirk.
He stretched, climbing out of bed and pulling on his robe. Maybe he would take a walk outside, get some fresh air, smell the sea, and come back to bed. It was dawn, and Bats were nocturnal, after all.
He yawned and shuffled out of the room, glancing outside before he left. It looked like a beautiful day.
He checked on Dick, who was sound asleep. Smiling, he quietly closed the door.
Gliding downstairs, he found himself in the library. Gazing out the windows, he gasped.
Clark was standing in the garden, head thrown back and arms stretched out as he worshipped the sun.
He was nude.
Bruce quietly slipped through the French doors, the sound of the sea soothingly familiar.
Morning dew sparkled like strings of diamonds on the bright green grass and brilliant flowers. Red, yellow, and pink blossoms burst from their stems and bushes.
The sky was robin’s-egg blue, reflected in the ocean that glittered with whitecaps.
The rays of sunlight caressed Clark’s skin, gold meeting gold, muscles rippling. His curl dangled over his brow, eyes closed and a slight smile on his face. A gentle breeze ruffled his hair.
Bruce felt awe spread through his heart, his eyes drinking in every detail.
Clark didn’t make a sound, the sound of the waves crashing down on the cliffs washing over Bruce, a seagull squawking as it wheeled over the water. Birds twittered, a robin landing briefly on Clark’s shoulder before soaring over the sea, Bruce nearly laughing.
Clark was worshipping the sun.
Bruce was worshipping Clark.
Clark’s face was ecstatic as he soaked up the sun, then settled into peace, his lips slightly parted.
Bruce’s own lips opened, a tiny sigh escaping.
Clark’s eyes fluttered open, and he turned his head.
He smiled like sunshine, taking Bruce’s breath away. He approached Clark, their bodies coming together as Clark drew him in with strong arms. Bruce shivered at the touch of sun-kissed skin, so warm, and felt the coolness of the dew on his back as he found himself looking up at the brilliant blue sky.
Mirrored in star-born eyes.

They were late to breakfast, Alfred raising an eyebrow and Dick smirking.
