And Mount Rushmore! It evokes the Red Zone story a bit (that was biological warfare, though), which is a good thing. That's a good story, and a great one for Steve/Tony folks!

Thank you, Crimson! I was very nervous posting this. I guess I just feel more comfortable/confident in the DCU. :)

Wow, I didn't know they'd done a story at Mount Rushmore! Except for a few things like Civil War I'm not up on current canon at all. I still love the boys, though. :)

Understandably so! There's a lot of canon. Especially for Tony. He seems to appear in every title Marvel does these days.
But the Red Zone storyline is from the Avengers, in 2003. It's one of the first ones we throw at people when trying to suck people into Steve/Tony because Tony exposes himself to a deadly toxin in order to give CPR to an already-exposed Steve. And then Tony collapses and Steve wakes up and pulls Tony into his lap and holds him. And the entire scene goes on for more than two pages and is incredibly dramatically colored and backlit, despite happening inside. *g* This icon is from that scene.

Glad you liked it, dear! :)
As for JFK, I've written him in selected chapters of other stories, Time And Place: Chapter Two and "They Killed Another Kennedy!": Chapter One.
He's one of my favorite Presidents, and with the Mount Rushmore theme, I figured it could work to have him in this story. :)

Bravo, El! This is a wonderful story. You write such an outstanding Cap.

I always loved the quips that Avengers or JLA'ers made in those days during fights. :)
I also loved that JFK had some fight in him. *vbg*
LOL! The World War II and Korean War vets of that era usually could take care of themselves in a situation like that. :)

Thank you, Theresa! I have loved Cap for a very long time, and he's such a fascinating character. He's my very favorite of all the Marvel characters and it's easy to write him with love. :)

Thank you, Pervy! Fight scenes can be awfully tricky. :)
And your Steve was gorgeously portrayed.

Thank you again! :)
