DC comics owns Ironman?! jazzypom November 17 2008, 12:49:45 UTC
This marvel zombie says fie! Fie!

J/k.

I do feel for Cap, I really do. I like the quiet, reflective mood of the story, of Cap a man out of his time, adjusting to this one. A good read.

Thank you, Jazzy! :)

I really love this theme and glad I got a chance to write it.

I've been reading The Ultimates *blushes furiously, because that comic is crack! fic* and in that universe, Captain America is just out of the ice, and he's like on uneven ground, and finds himself gasping that the stuff you speak of (the relative coarseness of modern speech, civility), and he finds himself in a relationship where the character (I don't know how much you know about The Ultimates, so I'm trying not to spoil), and she's put off by his imperious manner. Cap is suprised by how forward she is in the matters of *ahem* men and women. Tony Stark, bless him, tries to help whenever he can (between his co operate mergers, and menage a trios)

I'm trying to push writers to write The Ultimates fic, so I don't have to.

*poke, poke*

Poor Cap! The culture shock is pretty overwhelming!

Sorry, I'm not up on the The Ultimates but I'm flattered you would want me to write it! :)

<3 So sweet! And oh wow, I loved the imagery here. My mom is really into antiques - I think I spent at least half my childhood in antique stores so I was really feeling the nostalgia along with Steve. *loves* Also? Steve and Tony on a cute little roadtrip/vacation is adorable!

My parents were both antique nuts, so my sister and I got an education poking around places like this. :)

I've always loved history, and these places are treasure troves of daily life!

Steve wouldn't even need to insist as long as Tony realized he needed a vacation. Anything to make his Stevie happy. :)

They can be bittersweet, can't they?

Oh, how lovely. You really captured that bittersweet longing Steve usually has when looking back on his time.

Thank you, Pervy! :)

I know that Steve has found happiness here in our time, but I can't help but feel he wishes strongly to return to those days at times, too.
