I'm doing the stuff on stammering, speech sounds, words shown in syllables, etc. section of the transcriber's course. It's killing me! Can someone tell me where EBAE covers this stuff? The textbook says it's rules I, VI, and VII, but those don't seem to cover it. I just need things stated differently than the textbook states them, it might help me

Rule II-12 covers stammering. I've been teaching transcribers for the past 11 years and have found I've had to refer to the rules about stammering only a couple of times in transcribing textbooks. You can also look at the www.brl.org site for help with the rules.

Thanks. I'm hoping once I finish this assignment it won't be something I encounter often! I'm not sure why I'm having trouble with it, but I think I just need to review a bit more. :)
