I Need to know where I can find a free contraction brl dictionary or a translator site that show the contraction of a word would look like. I planning to write a letter & I need to make sure what the word that I would put in the letter is the right contraction, please? Thank in advance.

You may find that brl.org is useful; two of its resources (in the left-hand sidebar, in the "Tools and resources" section) are a list of contractions and a contraction look-up tool; another is a list of "problematical" words along with the correct way to contract them. There's also a downloadable chart of contractions as an Excel spreadsheet.

I haven't used any of those, but they seem promising. I've mostly used brl.org for its Braille lessons so far.

Thanks Pne,
BTW, The lookup tool seems to be down. But the problem words list had what I needed to find.

Hey Phillip,
Thank again on the help with the posts too. I guess I learned something new everyday.

Hey Philip,
How do I get the chart to show up if I don't have a downloader type of computer? Is it a way to make it show in html? Just wondering.
