Certified Literary Transcriber?

Feb 15, 2005 19:45

Good evening,
I'm interested in restarting my Library of Congress Literary Braille Certification, and I was wondering if anyone here either 1) know of someone who would be interested/willing to check my lessons or 2) how I might go about finding someone.

Thank you,
Julie

I'd offer to help out myself, but I'm working on certification in music braille, which is a really time-consuming and arduous course of study. I'm also trying to finish up brailling a book in literary, so my hands are more than full.
The only suggestions I have would be to speak with John Wilkinson at the Library of Congress to ask if he knows of any certified braillist in your area who might be willing to grade your exercises, or to check on the National Braille Association Web site's list of organizations, foundations, and individuals and get in touch with a few of those that sound promising.
Good luck.
