You must've missed the dot six; perhaps it was squashed. Anyway n dot six N A L is national since dot six+n in the middle of a word is ation.

Oh, I see. I got the dot6, but it looked like it was dot6+n then a space then dot6+n+a+l. But I see now there is no space, which makes it read "National." :-) Thank you, I have a lot to learn!

Aha. That answers the question for me too, because I saw the "ation" abbrieviation a couple places but couldn't find it in "Just Enough to Know Better."

After reading this post I looked in "Just Enough." It's in there, I just hadn't gotten to it yet :-)

LOL I hate that when that happens when you have to second guess something in braille.

It's really embarrassing when my Fiance is sitting there and says "What does it say?" and I'm like "Um, well, I don't exactly know," and he says "I thought you were learning Braille!" He just can't grasp that Braille isn't as easy as learning the alphabet, although I have explained it to him! But then again, I'm deaf and try to teach him sme ASL to make things easier and he can't seem to grasp that either ;-)

I picked up a couple of copies of Expectations and Brailleways at the library figuring I could figure them out...yeah right.

So my mom said "Okay, read me a story." "Er, I can't...not the least because I read so slowly...."
