I had a tech spill contrast on me once. After awhile, it started to burn.

That doesn't seem normal... I'd at leat call the doctor.

I just spoke to a nurse friend of mine and he said pain/bruises at the site of vein work is common (phlebitis?), but mobility issues really aren't. So if it's not any better when I wake up tomorrow, I'm going to call my doctor.

I'm glad you're going to contact that doctor. I'd also put a warm washcloth on the area, that's helped both my mom and I when we've had bruising from bad technicians.

When my mom was recovering from her brain surgery in the hospital, they were constantly putting warm washcloths on her arms to ease the bruising and swelling from all the attempts to keep her IVs going.
