Movie versions or comic versions?

I've never been a huge Blade fan, in either form, but I read Constantine for years and still read Hellboy. While I really enjoy both movie versions, I can do quite the comic nerd rant about them as adaptations.

:D Mostly, I was kidding, because we have just recently watched all those movies. Husband says, there should be a movie with all these characters. I said, that's what fanfic is for.

I usually feel like any time you get a movie, you have to be ready to accept that movies and books are different and you have to separate them from each other in your head.

But then, I have not seen The Hobbit. No matter how much I adore Martin Freeman, I think the book is so perfect and the things I know Peter Jackson has done to it make me unable to look at it. So. Grain of salt related to CK's high horse. (On the other hand, I adore the BBC Radio adaptation. It's fantastic and Peter Jackson should have listened to it 100 times before he went completely out of control on his stupid movie script.)

Ha! If you do decide to write that, I would totally read it.

Regarding movie adaptations, I am pretty good about keeping them separate from the writing. It helps that I like the movie versions so my issues are relatively minor.

The first Wolverine, on the other hand, made me incoherent with rage. So, so horrible.
