Semana Santa

Hello hello! What a week! Semana Santa, or Holy Week, is quite possibly the biggest party in Guatemala, especially here in Antigua. Friday was especially crazy. We left the house at 5:00 AM to go look at the afombra's (carpets) before they were destroyed by the procession.

Most afombras are made of sawdust, like this one:
