As most of you read unteins's LJ, you know we are looking to buy a house, condo, townhouse... something of that nature. We bid on a 3 bedroom, 2 bath condo on Thursday. I really wanted that place. Bedrooms were large. Closets were good shape, the kitchen was huge for a condo... and the bonus part was that they had just spend $30K remodeling the place ( Read more... )

Sweet... my hottest LJ friend is going to help me move :) Yay! I better pick out a cute outfit to wear that day... I don't have to do any work, right? Just stand around and point boxes in right directions?

I'll be sending positive thoughts your way hoping you get the one you want.. oh, and on moving day too. ;) Is there a deadline for finding out about this new condo?

There was. When we put in an offer, he had 3 days to respond, and if he didn't, we are not legally required to accept our offer back. He EVENTUALLY did respond, with a ludicrious counter offer. We recently found a town home that we like, that has a lot of potential, but needs to be updated (we've seen the remodeled versions, and they look really nice). We are putting in a bid today on a 4 bedroom townhouse. The bedrooms are smaller than the condo, so total bedroom liveable space is probably the same. They have, again, 3 days to respond... Hopefully this one will go through.
