It was 25 years ago yesterday (Sunday) that the music world lost one of its great unsung heroes and I personally lost one of the biggest influences from my time of playing music.

I heard a song this morning while driving to work. It was about/sung by a train called the City of New Orleans... is that the same song you mentioned?

It sounds like it is. Arlo Guthrie had the hit with it back in the mid-70's, but I much prefer Steve Goodman's original. Much more uptempo. Arlo almost made it a dirge.
