It's funny how the phrase "the desert of the real" is coined by a philosopher (Baudrillard), passes into popular culture (The Matrix) and comes out in another philosopher (Zizek).

Also: before commenting in your journal I sent an e-mail to solri@livejournal.com. It said a little more than "Do you think it would be ok if I were to comment in your journal?" but not much more. I don't know if you got that e-mail.
