Brandon, I'm a Democrat, but every once in a while, you should just relax and give the political thing a rest. You may not have liked Reagan, but he was a respected US President, and yes, his death is a sad thing.

its not sad that a person dies when they spend the last 16 years of their life with alzheimers.

and, this post has nothing to do with reagan being a republican. it was just a funny joke that came up because he died.

It's sad that he had alzheimers and died. It is, however, a blessing for all who were close to him. Alzheimers is not a pretty thing to watch.

The joke was kidna funny...it was the comment after it that was sour.

I think the whole Reagan dying thing has gotten completely out of hand. I'm not glad he died but at the same time, I'm definitely not sad. He was living with Alzheimers and was 93. A time to live, a time to die...

I'm much more sad about Ray Charles. He did much more positive things for the country, in my opinion. I wouldn't be so sad about the fucking post office being closed when I'm in the middle of working on a film if it had been for Ray Charles. But one of the most violent leaders of our country who did triple the national debt (who says conservatives are good with money)? Not really at the top of my weeping agenda.

I liked how Time and Newsweek both had the same stupid cover. Everyone falling over themselves to make a big ass deal over his death once they figured out some people cared and would eat/buy that stuff right up. Conservatives just don't have too many 2 term presidents to champion (and they won't have another one, goddam it).

Anyway, I'm done with my rant. :)
