*facepalm*

I failed my 1 hr glucose test.

*sigh*

Of course the 3-hr test will probably show me to be perfectly healthy, but it'll be a wasted (and hungry) half-day. ANNOYING!

Ok. Upside. Um.... I'll get a lot of knitting done while my butt goes numb in the waiting room.

I'm sure it'll be fine. I've had a number of colleagues who failed the first one, and passed the second with flying colors.

I agree. I'm not worried at all - just annoyed :)

Bummer. I remember failing mine involved crawling into the blood draw room while trying not to black out. Second one went fine though!

Wow. So you had a reasonable suspicion that you were failing the first one :)

I like my midwife's office. They gave me the drink to keep at home so I could drink it on my way in, then the vampire came to attack me in the exam room. She's a good sticker, too - which I suspect will be much appreciated next week O_o

Such a pain in the ass arm!

What are you working on, besides making a baby out of food?

At the moment, I'm working (slowly, because I have no time to knit) on this. It looks like this one will actually fit me, so yay! It's just past my boobs, but I have a ways to go. I'm using the Shine Worsted you sent to me way back when.

My friend (and new coworker Deanne) brought me some yarn as a thank-you-for-the-job-tip gift, and I'm forcing myself not to use it until I'm done with the sweater.

I'm so glad my midwife let me eat a meal and test at home, because those sound awful. And then the 3 hr test? Ugh. Definitely bring some knitting.

I may, if I have time to cut fabric, bring pieces of baby's quilt to sew.

Gotta capitalize on the time, right?

Oh crap. That sucks. I hope the second test goes well for you and you aren't too miserable. Not being able to eat while pregnant is torture.

And suddenly this week, the heartburn has hit. It's the rock and a hard place of pregnancy. Gotta eat, but when I eat, it hurts.

No wonder I lost a pound over the past month.

I'll probably have oatmeal for dinner tonight (again).

I kept a large bottle of rolaids around during both of mine!

I used to use those, but they... er ... back me up. I rely on baking soda now.
