Fishing Trip!

The boys went fishing on Lake Jericho with their PopPop today.

Note Samuel's Spongebob Squarepants fishing rod and the boys' new haircuts. Dixon was a little skeptical, but he usually is on first-time excursions.

Looks like a lot of fun!

I went fishing with my grandpa a few times when I was older than Samuel and Dixon, and only from the shore of the river. Of course, I did find a gigantic snake, and catch a fish on the classic line-tied-to-a-stick.

I hope your boys get to go many more times!

I'm sure they will. Samuel begs to go. Today was their first time on a boat, and Dixon was so clingy and tearful that my dad couldn't row, photograph, and fish while holding him. So the trip was truncated, much to Samuel and PopPop's frustration.

But then again, dad realized that Dixon is still 2 months younger than Samuel was the first time he went fishing. I'm sure Dixon will catch on soon.

It just tickles me no end that they get to spend so much good time with their PopPop.
