This is a great idea, doing work that provides a social benefit for people or communities is extremely rewarding. I recently transitioned into social and green enterprise work within the last few years and love, love, love it.

what kind of work do you do?

I hope I'm right about your heart too! I work a couple jobs:

Our main goal is to provide persons at risk to homelessness, disabilities that prevent one from working full time, and/or those who need a stepping stone in life to try to work out their lives after completing recovery programs a compassionate work environment.

We work with a lot of social housing building, outreach centers, and non profits to improve their waste management, recycling, and help with donations like pillows and blankets to sick tenants.

Also, I do pro bono work to help raise awareness about ocean plastic issues and how we can collect, prevent, and develop the technology to make this happen.
