I hate movers.  If knew last week what I know now, I would have surrendered my deposit to the moving company and just rented a Uhaul trailer.  Argh.

So Beloit has given me a chunk of money to help me move to Wisconsin.  At $2000, it seemed like more than enough to get the job done professionally.  Sure enough, when I called various companies, I got

First off, sounds pretty crappy. Getting good movers is a definite science.

Secondly, sounds like they were charging you once for going up the stairs and once for going down, which sounds sort of shady.

Thirdly, you do realize that 5x10x10 is 500 cu ft, right?
