While I'm okay with jogging in below-freezing temperatures (which is basically a necessity around here), I am not okay with jogging in stinging blowing snow.  My attempt to start exercising seems to be stymied.  Maybe this evening the winds will have died down.  Here's hoping.

Jog with a hair-dryer to hold out in front of you.

And a very long extension cord.

Doesn't Beloit have a gym with treadmills and such? Yeah, it's not the same, but it's closer than standing in your doorway wearing your jogging clothes, then going back in and sitting on your couch.

The exercise center at the college is awful - it has one working treadmill and no ventilation. I've used it once, and was really put off by it - I'd rather jog outside in (non-blowing-snow-containing) cold weather.
You're right, there are a couple of gyms in Beloit, but they're all in a different part of town, and all of them involve a membership fee for something that I'd really rather not use.
Also, I have this thing about public showers. Ick.
