reunion

I just received an invitation for my high school reunion.  (It was mailed on the 31st, and it requested an RSVP by the 1st.  Optimistic.  The envelope was addressed to a Kathleen Whightman, which was also a little disappointing.)
Anyway.  Reliable sources (Brian, Zac) tell me that past HH reunions have been worthwhile, so I think I might go.  ( Read more... )

I think mine was casual/business casual. Don't recall very well, but it seemed like nothing particularly fancy. Polo shirts and separates.

As for me, I wore a plain chocolate t-shirt and blue jeans, but I happen to know I look quite fetching (and am quite comfortable) in that outfit, perhaps more so that anything dressier, which is why I wore that. :)

Very good. Thanks. I'm going to try my best to avoid a t-shirt, as that 's what I wear every other day of the year. Nice to know what level to aim for, though.

Makes sense. All the same, sorry to hear it - it'd be good to catch up with you for a bit.
Mr. Strickland is probably here somewhere. We dropped out of touch a couple of years ago, and I have since lost his number. I understand that he's still diving, but that's about all I hear.

Good for you going. I think you'll enjoy it. For all the picnic-y stuff, like the homecoming tailgate and our picnic in the park, it was straight up casual. For the dinner/evening event, I just went with jeans and a button down shirt, which seemed to be about the norm.

So, nothing super-fancy.

Your alumni thing seems to have been much more elaborate than ours. According to the calendar, Alumni Appreciation Weekend is, in fact, the following weekend, and probably includes a picnic and a football game. We get dinner and drinks at a country club. I'd prefer the picnic-y stuff. Oh well.
