Jake's mama has a baby in her tummy. He is thrilled. He got to tell Travis' parents, my parents (both sets), our neighbor, Uncle Jason, we'll see who's next. I'm due Jan 8, minus about 10 days for the csection puts me at new years eve or new years eve eve. Fantastic for the tax benefits, but Christmasy birthday people tend to hate it. Sorry

If there is only one piece of advice you ever take from me, let it be this: MAKE A BIG FUSS OVER HIS/HER BIRTHDAY. EVERY YEAR. Do NOT skimp on presents. If you have to, start saving money for his birthdays from the beginning of the year. Skip Christmas if you have to. Give him tons and tons of presents. And if you MUST throw him a party with all his friends there, do it in the beginning of January instead of the end of December. Kids will be more likely to show up then.

If you follow my advice, then maybe your child will have a chance of NOT becoming a sociopath.

Take it from somebody who knows firsthand.

Oh yeah, and congratulations. If he/she is even half as adorable as Jake, then you have a winner.
