This past week has been horrid. Each day brought a new surprise to me, mainly swollen feet and legs. They simply will not go down no matter what. And I do not eat salt or anything that has much in it ( Read more... )

sorry to hear you're feeling poorly. I used to have almost permanent swollen wrists and ankles - especially after travelling. I too had avoided salt for years, but then i saw an article about sea salt (the real thing, usually goes by the name of Celtic Sea Salt which has magnesium and other minerals in it, not just purified sodium) started using it and now i have no oedema whatsoever and my blood pressure has also dropped back to 120/80.

Other than raising your legs above your heart to drain them... which certainly worked for me in pregnancy when I suffered horrible oedema problems. I used to lie on my back with my legs up the wall! I hope that your specialist can find the solution soon. :-/

I hope with all my heart that things will be better soon, my dearest one ♥

melusin_79's advice sounds good to me. If there is a health food store near where you are, and they have a naturopath on hand, she or he could have more solutions for you too.

Also, the Lasix might be good to get things under control again!

Nothing brings a person down like being ill for a long time. Keep your eyes fixed on the positive as much as you can - as difficult as Im sure that is. X
