I hope you get it too! If you need anything let me know! And you can be the cool teacher, but you need to be the cool teacher that is respected. Remember it is better to be feared than loved, both is wonderful, but if you can only have one always take feared. If your kids don't respect you they'll walk all over you. I love my students, they can be a pain sometimes and sometimes I want to throw things at them... but I don't have a lot of discipline issues. I know some of the other teachers in my grade have issues with them because the students don't respect those teachers. The worst thing you can do is get too friendly with them. A teacher here does that and they are terrible for her.
