So I was in the car and my dad turned on the radio to those maroon 5-britney spears-hoobastank stations. Avril came on and I tried to block it off but I couldn't. So I listened to the lyrics and noticed it was about breakups, which made me think of "emo" music. Most of the "emo" artist's lyrics are about break up, so why isn't Avril considered "emo

Emo seems to be about breaking up with girls. So I think there can be lesbian emo.

intresting thought... i dont think avril is punk or emo really. i think emo is more than just the lyrics...theres def. a huge part of it thats just about the music itself.
