It's time to make a very important decision.
For my own personal torture, review, and a proverbial smack in the face... I would like to review that which I have accomplished this past year:
-I took the role of President in one of six LBGTA organizations on my campus, with my best friend as Vice President.

I wonder if it's true, what Kierkegaard says: It's not really self-loathing. That's just the surface of it. Really, it's our awareness of being engulfed. We're not the biggest thing out there; the world is much bigger, and God is bigger yet. The world could eat us for breakfast. Some of us don't know this; they're deluded into "self-love." Those who know this realize how easy it would be to get destroyed, and so we hate ourselves.
The greatest wisdom yet would be to give ourselves completely to God (or the equivalent thing, if you follow the Eastern path), so that as St. Paul says, "It is no longer I live, but Christ who lives IN ME."
But that's a life-long journey.
