That's my favorite thing about him, probably, and one of the reasons why he's the only philosopher I've read through more than once. He speaks very conversationally sometimes, particularly in his later work-Ecce Homo and the like. He even talks about what he eats for breakfast and stuff in those later books, which is bizarre yet oddly endearing.
Are you reading the Walter Kaufmann translations? I haven't found any that I prefer.
