I've been cheating on LJ as most of you know. I got a blogspot thing and linked to my facebook and have been telling all the wonderful tales of the big city life

i called you a few weeks ago. alas, you did not answer. and you never called me back. but that's ok. i understand.
give it time brandon. you haven't been there long enough. i'll pray for you. i know you have the strength.
here is a fun story for you. i went home this weekend (not really part of the story but part of the set up). i had my mom get my headshots printed because i need them for auditions coming up. (here's the part you'll enjoy) Walmart almost would not print my headshots because they "looked professional" and they were worried they were copywrited. so, if this whole tech theatre/working at starbucks isn't working out, maybe you should think about going into portrait photography. at least you'd get to talk to the people. plus you're pretty good at it. at least Walmart thinks so.
My thoughts are with you, these sorts of things are never easy in life, especially when a friend whom you thought you could confide in has done the complete opposite. However, I beleive things can and will eventually improve, and it is also up to you to make this happen. You are in a new place, new people new faces, it sounds strange but think of it as an opportunity. All the new people you could meet may eventually mean more to you than any other friends you thought you had. Cheer up, and take care of yourself -Hayley-

Brandon, New York is the hardest city in the world. The biggest problem is people don't seem to have time and they do have a harder shell. I think it partly comes from living among so many people that one has to put up a shell just to get some privacy. I have some suggestions, the first being don't come home yet. Promise yourself you'll give it a year, NO MATTTER WHAT

Brandon, I talked to you recently, which is good. I have to agree with most everyone else. Don't lose faith. We've had this talk if you'll remember: I believe it was 5 a.m. and The Terminal was in the background, and the roles may have been reversed. However, that's not the point. I'll pray for you to get through all this too. I know it's tough. I know you're angry. And You know that I'm always here if you want to talk. I must end with a cliche "it'll be alright," not because I feel obligated, but rather because I believe it. You've taken the big step. It might be lonely for a while; but who knows where this step will take you?! I'm excited for you, but you should know: it'll be alright.
Hey! I know we never really got to know each other too well at camp, but if you ever want to meet up sometime, I'd be all for that. I miss seeing friendly faces too.
